The Rothsay boys’ basketball team hosted Wheaton-Herman/Norcross in a non-conference matchup Thursday night.  WHN took a 23-18 halftime lead and finished with a 57-53 win.

"Tonight we really struggled rebounding the ball and against an aggressive Warrior team,” said Rothsay Head Coach Taylor Fuhs.  “They really outworked us on the glass.  We got it to a 2 point game late in the second half, but couldn't get a stop to get over the top."

Rothsay was led by Colby Larson with 21 and Tanner Heier with 12. Matthew Danielson contributed 10.

"This was not our cleanest game ever, but we did take a small lead early and never gave it back," commented Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Head Coach Jordon Roos. "At times we were stifling defensively and at other times we were making a lot of little mistakes that really hurt us. We attacked the rim very well and scored a lot in the lane again which was they key to this game."

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross was led by Clint Determan with 20 points and 5 steals.  Dylan Bainbridge contributed 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.  The Warriors shot 46.2% from the field.
