“After a couple of subpar holiday practices, the squad came out ready to play tonight,” observed Hawley Head Coach Nathan Stoa. “We forced turnovers, shared the ball at a high level and were able to find easy baskets. We are pleased at the defensive effort our boys gave in containing Tanner Heier. He does a great job of making his teammates better despite getting every teams’ best defender night in and night out.”
Chris Carrillo scored 10 points to lead the Tigers and Heier finished with 7.
Hawley remained unbeaten at 6-0 and will host Barnesville on Tuesday night in a Heart O’ Lakes Conference contest.
Rothsay (3-5) has a Little Eight Conference matchup with Hillcrest in Fergus Falls on Tuesday.
