OTC's Tysdal Claims Medalist Honors in 6A Girls Golf, Frigaard, Nelson, Hillman and Beyer also Qualify for State

Park Christian won the girls’ team competition with a score of 761.  Ottertail Central was second with an 830.  Adysen Tysdal of OTC won the individual honors with a 183, tying Madison Doeden of Park Christian for the top spot.  Third place went to Kylee West of Park Christian with a 185 and Celi Nelson of Ashby was fourth with a 188.  Anika Stromme of Park Christian was fifth with a 194 and sixth place went to Sophie Hillman of Ottertail Central with a 198.  Hailey Frueh of Park Christian was seventh with a 199, followed by Paige Beyer (200) of Border West and Amber Frigaard (201) of Underwood.

“Amber was down by ten strokes the last place to go to state and she overcame that to place ninth overall and advance,” said Underwood Head Coach Chuck Ross.  “I’m so happy for her as she works hard and that was her main goal all season and she accomplished it.  Maddie Hoen (232), who is only a sophomore, also played well today and finished tied for sixteenth.  Congrats to Trevor, Hudson and Amber for advancing to the State Tournament.  They will represent Underwood well.  Congrats to all the Underwood golfers today!  I also want to thank our three seniors, Trevor, Landon and Amber for helping lead and build the Underwood golf program this year.  Way to go!”

State Qualifier Paige Beyer of Border West

Border West had 6 golfers advance to day 2.

Aspen Beyer, Paige Beyer, Bria Lundquist in the girls' tournament and Cole Gilsdorf, Nolan Wilson, Zach Hansen on the boys' side.

Paige Beyer will be attending the state tournament in Becker on June 14-15.  Nolan Wilson missed the cut by one stroke and Cole Gilsdorf missed the cut by 3 strokes.
