Taylor Fuhs begins his eighth year as Head Coach of the Rothsay boys’ basketball team with some holes to fill after graduating four players who were mainstays in the Tigers lineup the past two year.  “We have a younger group looking to make their own mark in our program,” said Fuhs.  “We will be young and athletic, but will lack size in the interior.”  Fuhs is assisted by Chris Heier and Dana Holland Sr.

Returning letter winners are senior Peyton Ghristensen (G), juniors Matthew Danielson (G) and Carson Weiers (G), and freshman Karson Jensen (G).  Juniors Peyton Kadel (G) and Jesse Blondeau (G), sophomore Preston Curtis (G) and freshman Landon Messerschmidt (F) will be looking for varsity minutes.

“The exciting part about this group is the unknown,” noted Coach Fuhs.  “They have a ton of talent and have put in a lot of time, but there is a lot of unknown on what it will look like.  We hope to play an exciting, up-tempo style of basketball that will feature multiple guys.”

Fuhs sees Border West, Hillcrest and Battle Lake as the top teams in the Little Eight Conference, with Border West, BBE, Hillcrest, Battle Lake and Henning at the top of Section 6A.
