Parkers Prairie swept their Little Eight Conference volleyball match with Rothsay on Thursday night, posting wins of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-18. “It was good to see some fire from the girls and we need that to continue with post season coming up,” commented Tigers head coach Tanya Kort. “Parkers has strong hitters, but I thought our girls did a good job on defense with the hard hits. Lisa KJelgaard (9 digs) and Lauren Reber really took the brunt of it form their pins and they did a great job getting to their spots and under the ball to give us second chances.”
Reber had 7 set assists and a team high 10 digs, while serving a perfect 9-for-9. Other top servers were Bethany Danielson (13/13, 3 aces), Grace Carlsrud (10/11, 2 aces), Vanessa Sullivan (7/7, 2 aces) and Andrea Phillips (9/12, 1 ace).
The attack was led by Danielson, Carlsrud, Phillips and Sullivan with 3 kills apiece.
